RivALZ, where two teams of women compete in a flag football game to inspire fundraising, awareness and action in the fight against Alzheimer's disease.
Why we play:
- Alzheimer’s disproportionately affects women both as people with the disease and as caregivers
- There are more than 34,000 Nebraskans currently living with Alzheimer's or another dementia and almost two-thirds of Americans with Alzheimer's are women
RivALZ sends a message of solidarity: We plan to meet this disease with energy and attitude.
We are the generation that can provide both the fuel and the spark in this fight. Anyone can get involved, no matter your level of ability:
